Tinnitus

Do you have ringing in your ears?

Is the buzzing sound bothering you?

Tinnitus is a perception that can be described as a ringing, whistling, hissing, roaring, humming, buzzing, clicking, or any sound perceived. It can occur in one ear, both ears, or in the head and can be constant or intermittent. A tinnitus evaluation can be useful to document its presence and guide/monitor progress with management options.

Management possibilities include sound therapy, hearing aids, and/or counselling utilizing simple strategies to work towards decreasing its perception.

Testing may also include identification of the tinnitus loudness and pitch. We will create a plan that will help decrease and, if possible, eliminate the perceived tinnitus with the use of hearing aids.
